Both are crypto payment gateways with an API and a hosted payment page. CoinsFlow takes 0.5% of every payment, from the first one. Cryptomus heads its fee page “Incoming payments from 0.4%”, and under it says new users pay 2%, less on request.
Fees
| Fee | CoinsFlow | Cryptomus |
|---|---|---|
| On each payment | 0.5% | 2% for new users |
| Lowest it lists | 0.5%, for everyone | 0.4%, if you contact it |
| On a $20 payment | $0.10 | $0.40 at 2%; $0.08 at 0.4% |
| What sets your rate | nothing: one rate | business type, monthly turnover, integration |
| Withdrawing | the network cost, shown before you confirm | no figure on its fee page |
| Converting coins | not offered | Auto-Convert, free |
Cryptomus' payment fee page says: “We only charge 2% commission per transaction for new users, but the number can be even lower”, and asks you to contact it to get as low as 0.4%. It says the fee depends on “the business type, monthly turnover, type of integration and many other factors.” It gives no figure there for withdrawals. CoinsFlow's 0.5% is the same for everyone and every coin, for an invoice, a payment link or a payment to your permanent deposit address; a withdrawal pays its network cost, shown in the coin before you confirm.
Coins, plugins and tools
| What | CoinsFlow | Cryptomus |
|---|---|---|
| Coins | 6: BTC, LTC, ETH, BNB, USDT, USDC | more than 100 |
| Shop plugins | none yet | 23 platforms |
| Test payments | test mode: every outcome, on your usual key | a test webhook from its API |
| Fee passed to your customer | no | yes, per coin, up to 100% |
| A payment a little short | counts within 0.5% | you set 0 to 5% |
| Automatic withdrawals | yes | yes |
| Mass payouts | one withdrawal per API call | yes, with conversion |
Cryptomus says it supports more than 100 cryptocurrencies, and its plugins page lists 23 platforms, among them WooCommerce, WHMCS, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Magento, XenForo, BigCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. Its fee page also lists automatic withdrawals, withdrawals through the API that convert the coin, and mass payouts “to thousands of addresses”, and lets you add a commission for your customers on each coin, or a discount. CoinsFlow takes six coins on four networks; TRON is paused for now.
Pick Cryptomus if
- You need coins CoinsFlow does not take: it says more than 100.
- You want a ready-made plugin for your shop, forum or billing software.
- You want payments converted as they arrive, or paid out in another coin than the one you were paid in.
- You pay many people at once and want mass payouts.
- Your business can get its rate below 0.5%, or you want your customers to pay the fee.
Pick CoinsFlow if
- You are starting out: 0.5% from the first payment, against the 2% Cryptomus says it charges new users, so $0.10 against $0.40 on a $20 order.
- You want one published rate, with nothing to ask for and nothing that depends on your turnover.
- You are paid in Litecoin or Bitcoin: a payment is seen seconds after it is sent, counts as paid at the first confirmation (about 2.5 minutes on Litecoin, 10 on Bitcoin) and can be withdrawn at once.
- You want payments read from nodes the gateway runs itself: ours are also behind a public Litecoin explorer.
- You want to try every outcome without money: test mode makes an invoice paid, underpaid, overpaid or expired, with the same signed webhooks.
- You withdraw small amounts: the smallest Litecoin withdrawal is 0.0001 LTC, and its fee is the network's cost, shown before you confirm.
Where the figures come from
We run CoinsFlow, so this is our side of the comparison. Everything said about Cryptomus is from its own pages, read on . Prices change, so check them before you choose:
- cryptomus.com/fees/payment: “Incoming payments from 0.4%”, the 2% for new users and the 0.4% on request, what the fee depends on, Auto-Convert “completely free of charge”, a commission or discount of up to 100% per coin for your customers, crediting a payment that falls short by 0 to 5%, automatic and API withdrawals, and mass payouts.
- cryptomus.com: “fees as low as 0.4%” and “More than 100 cryptocurrencies supported”.
- cryptomus.com/plugins: the 23 platforms.
- doc.cryptomus.com: its API reference, whose “Testing webhook” call sends a webhook for a test invoice. We found no other test environment described there.
