CoinsFlow vs CoinGate

Fees, payouts and tools side by side. CoinGate's figures are from its own pages, read on .

Both are crypto payment gateways with an API, a hosted checkout and no monthly fee. CoinsFlow takes 0.5% of each payment and pays out in the coin you were paid in. CoinGate lists 1% per transaction, and says your customers pay in crypto while you settle in EUR, GBP, USD or crypto.

CoinGate's pricing page lists “1% per transaction” on its Standard plan, “No monthly fees”, and says there are no setup or integration fees. It lists withdrawals of crypto and by SEPA as free, with “Minimum withdrawal amount is 50 EUR.”, withdrawals by SWIFT at 0.50% with a minimum fee of 50 EUR, and crypto payouts, to “suppliers, freelancers, or customers”, at 0.50 EUR + 0.5% (0.50 EUR + 1.5% with conversion). On CoinsFlow every payment pays 0.5%, and every withdrawal pays its network cost, shown in the coin before you confirm, whether it goes to your own wallet or to somebody you pay. The smallest withdrawals are small: 0.0001 LTC, 0.00001 BTC, 1 USDT or USDC.

CoinGate's plugins page lists WooCommerce, Magento 2, PrestaShop, OpenCart, WHMCS and Wix. Its site says its company, UAB Decentralized, “is authorised as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA)” by the Bank of Lithuania, and is “also licensed as a Payment institution by the Bank of Lithuania”. CoinsFlow claims no licence. It takes six coins on four networks (TRON is paused for now), and has no plugins yet.

Pick CoinGate if

  • You want to be paid out in euros, pounds or dollars, to a bank account, or settled on its own every week.
  • You need a provider licensed in the EU: it says it is authorised under MiCA and licensed as a payment institution in Lithuania.
  • You want a ready-made plugin: WooCommerce, Magento 2, PrestaShop, OpenCart, WHMCS or Wix.
  • You withdraw rarely and in large amounts: its crypto and SEPA withdrawals are free from 50 EUR.
  • Your volume can earn the custom rates of its Enterprise plan.

Pick CoinsFlow if

  • You want to keep more of each payment: 0.5% against 1%, so $0.10 against $0.20 on a $20 order, from the first one.
  • You take small payments and withdraw small amounts: there is no smallest invoice in one coin, and the smallest Litecoin withdrawal is 0.0001 LTC.
  • You are paid in Litecoin or Bitcoin: a payment is seen seconds after it is sent, counts as paid at the first confirmation (about 2.5 minutes on Litecoin, 10 on Bitcoin) and can be withdrawn at once.
  • You want to keep what you are paid in crypto and send it on yourself, by hand or automatically: when your balance reaches an amount you choose, or once a day or a week.
  • You want to test on the key you already have: an invoice with "test": true can be made paid, underpaid, overpaid or expired, with the same signed webhooks.

  • coingate.com/plugins: the six platforms.
  • coingate.com: the sandbox account, and, in its footer, UAB Decentralized's MiCA authorisation (code LB002323) and payment institution licence (code LB002324) from the Bank of Lithuania.

Questions

Is CoinsFlow cheaper than CoinGate?

On each payment, yes: 0.5% against the 1% of CoinGate's Standard plan, so $0.10 against $0.20 on a $20 payment. Withdrawing is the other half: CoinGate lists crypto and SEPA withdrawals as free, from 50 EUR, while a CoinsFlow withdrawal pays its network cost, shown before you confirm, from 0.0001 LTC or 1 USDT. CoinGate's Enterprise plan has custom, volume-based rates.

Can CoinsFlow pay me out in euros or dollars?

No. You withdraw the coin you were paid in, to your own address on the same network, by hand or automatically. There are no bank payouts and no conversion. CoinGate says your customers pay in crypto and you settle in EUR, GBP, USD or crypto; if you need the money in a bank account, it is the one to pick.

Is CoinsFlow licensed?

CoinsFlow claims no licence. CoinGate’s site says its company, UAB Decentralized, is authorised by the Bank of Lithuania as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU’s MiCA regulation, and licensed by it as a payment institution. If your business or your bank needs a licensed provider, that weighs more than the fee.

Does CoinsFlow have a sandbox?

It has test mode instead. Add "test": true when you create an invoice with your usual API key, then simulate it paid, underpaid, overpaid or expired. The same signed webhooks arrive, marked as test. There is no separate account or key. CoinGate offers a separate sandbox account.
