CoinsFlow vs NOWPayments

Fees, coins and tools side by side. NOWPayments' figures are from its own pages, read on .

Both are crypto payment gateways with an API and a way to test without money. CoinsFlow takes 0.5% of each payment. NOWPayments shows a 1% service fee, and says custom offers or its discount system can bring it as low as 0.3%.

Fees

On a $20 payment$0.10$0.20
On $1,000 of payments$5$10

NOWPayments calls its 1% the default service fee for each payment, and says it does not include network fees. On CoinsFlow, your customer pays the network fee for sending, and a withdrawal pays a fee in the coin that covers its network cost, shown before you confirm. CoinsFlow's 0.5% is the same from the first payment, for an invoice, a payment link or a payment to your permanent deposit address.

Pick NOWPayments if

  • You want a ready-made plugin for your shop or billing software.
  • You need coins CoinsFlow does not take: it lists more than 300 assets.
  • Your volume can earn a custom offer or a discount below 0.5%.

Pick CoinsFlow if

  • You want 0.5% on every payment from the first one, half of NOWPayments' default 1%, with nothing to ask for.
  • You are paid in Litecoin or Bitcoin: a payment is seen seconds after it is sent, counts as paid at the first confirmation (about 2.5 minutes on Litecoin, 10 on Bitcoin) and can be withdrawn at once.
  • You want payments read from nodes the gateway runs itself: ours are also behind a public Litecoin explorer.
  • You want to test on the key you already have: an invoice with "test": true can be made paid, underpaid, overpaid or expired, with the same signed webhooks.
  • You want your customer to pick the coin on the payment page, or to pay what they want.
  • You want withdrawals to your own wallet to run on their own: when your balance reaches an amount you choose, or once a day or a week.

Questions

Is CoinsFlow cheaper than NOWPayments?

At NOWPayments' default fee, yes: 0.5% against 1%, so $0.10 against $0.20 on a $20 payment. NOWPayments says custom offers or its discount system can bring its rate as low as 0.3%, so a large seller may be offered less.

Does CoinsFlow have a sandbox?

It has test mode instead. Add "test": true when you create an invoice with your usual API key, then simulate it paid, underpaid, overpaid or expired. The same signed webhooks arrive, marked as test. There is no separate host or key.

Does CoinsFlow have a WooCommerce or Shopify plugin?

No, not yet. Use the API (HTTPS and JSON, no SDK needed), or make payment links in the dashboard with no code.

Who pays the network fee on CoinsFlow?

Your customer pays the network fee for sending a payment, on top of the invoice. A withdrawal pays a fee in the coin that covers its network cost, shown before you confirm.
